Haverford Music Festival

The inaugural Haverford Music Festival, a family-oriented, free event showcasing local performers on multiple stages, is scheduled for September 17, 2011 from noon to 10:00 pm in the Oakmont area of Havertown.

To ensure the festival’s success this September and each coming September, we’ve loaded our board with pros who know festivals, who know concert promotion, and who know how to engage the community:

·         Tom Kelly – 32 years in the music industry. Founder of www.iRadioPhilly.com, owner of Philadelphia radio station WHAT-1340 AM and Kelly Music Research, Inc., and a national music research consultant.

·         Drew Pompilio – 25 years experience buying talent for Cellar Door, Electric Factory, and Live Nation. Owner of Dbuyer.inc. - talent supplier for casino, corporate, festival, and college markets.

·         Charmagne Newman – Former director of the West Oak Lane Jazz and Arts Festival. 15 years in the nonprofit industry, an outdoor community and music festival organizer, and consultant for the First World Theatre Ensemble.

·         Emanuel Del Pizzo – A Grammy Awards voting member, Del Pizzo brings 25 years of performance, production, recording, and musical instruction. His band, Del’s Groove, plays throughout the Delaware Valley.

·         Christopher J. Whiting – President of the Haverford Township Civic Council and Board Member of the Haverford Township Historical Society.

About the Haverford Music Festival
The inaugural Haverford Music Festival presents continuous live music with free admission to all venues from noon to 10:00 pm on September 17, 2011. Food and drink are made available by festival vendors. As the festival organizer, the Haverford Township Civic Council benefits from any proceeds, which are used to fund community-based programs within Haverford Township.
