Which Local College President is Best Compensated?

The Chronicle of Higher Education released its annual study on compensations for presidents at private colleges.


The Chronicle of Higher Education released its annual study on compensations for presidents at private colleges.  The study uses data from federal tax documents.  It ranks compensation for the 2011 fiscal year, which is the most recent date the data was available.  See the complete list here.  Below are the compensations and rankings based on compensation of local college presidents.

Amy Gutmann, University of Pennsylvania:  6th place; total compensation is $2,091,764.

John A. Fry, Drexel University:  41st place; total compensation is $1,021,739.

Rebecca S. Chopp, Swarthmore College:  93rd place; total compensation is $701,755.

Daniel H. Weiss, Lafayette College:  108th place; total compensation is $648,891.

James T. Harris, Widener University:  118th place; total compensation is $626,142.

Jane Dammen McAullife, Bryn Mawr College:  151st place; total compensation is $543,529.

Jerry Greiner, Arcadia University:  171st place; total compensation is $511,115.

Joanne V. Creighton, Haverford College:  362nd place; total compensation is $300,029.

Bobby Fong, Ursinus College:  426th place; total compensation is $241,011.

Brother Michael J. McGinnis, LaSalle University:  510th place; total compensation is $36,732.

Rev. Peter M. Donohue, Villanova University:  517th place; total compensation is $0.
