What's Open in Haverford on Christmas

More businesses than one might expect are open for business on Christmas Day.

Not all businesses and services are suspended for the Christmas holiday. The following businesses are keeping Christmas hours.

  • Oakmont National Pub will be closed Christmas day, but it's bar section will be open at 8 p.m. Christmas night.
  • The Superfresh in Wynnewood will be open from 9 to 4 p.m. on Christmas Day.
  • Swiss Farms will be open from 8 to 5 p.m. on Christmas Day
  • CVS Pharmacy's connivence store will be open from 10 to 8 p.m. on Christmas Day, but its pharmacy will be closed.
  • Wawa will be open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Christmas Day.
  • 7-Eleven will be open for normal business hours on Christmas Day. As the clerk said when I asked "We're 7-Eleven. We never close."

I really miss the old Haverford Patch, where the stories were originally written and it was about Havertown. See, I would like to know what the store hours for Havertown's Superfresh would be for Christmas Day, not the hours for Wynnewood's Superfresh. So, not having been on the Havertown Patch lately I was on here today and saw that the Superfresh in Wynnewood was open. Thinking that the Superfresh in Havertown, right down the street from me, would have the same hours, I went there. It turned out it was closed all day. I know you guys have a short staff with editors quitting and the remaining editors working on more than one site, but tell your bosses it ain't working. Go back to one editor a site and bring back the control of the freelance budget. I personally want to see REAL stories and posts (and not cross-published posts that appears in other Patches just to drive up your numbers) about Havertown and not aggregated junk from the Main Line Times or the DelCo News. And if you think I'm the only one who feels this way think again.
