Volunteer Locally on National Day of Service

As part of the National Day of Service on Saturday, Jan. 19, held in honor of Martin Luther King Jr., Haverford residents can join have the option to volunteer with local service projects. The excerpts below below come from Haverford Township Civic Council's Informed Citizen Newsletter.

Help Patrick Donovan Stop Infant Hunger

Haverford is supporting the love-filled work of Patrick Donovan, a neighbor young man who is profoundly deaf and with autism. He has a passion to stop infant hunger:  www.HelpPatrickFeedTheBabies.org  Donations of infant formula and donations are being collected at his home, 2800 Darby Road, Havertown PA 19083 from 10 to 2 PM on 1/19/13.

In Upper Darby, a Long Lane Clean Up is being organized starting at 637 Long Lane, Upper Darby from 10 to noon with State Rep Margo Davidson.
