School Board Meeting, Alex's Lemonade Stand Event in the Week Ahead

Read about some of the things happening this week.

The School District of Haverford Township will hold a school board meeting on July 18 at 7:30 p.m. at the Oakmont Administration Building Auditorium.

Ellen Langas, youth career education advocate and author of the popular Girls Know How series, will present a 30-minute free, interactive workshop for kids ages 7 to 12 featuring games and activities that help kids uncover intriguing careers and follow their dreams on Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Children’s Book World in Haverford.

The Havertown Applebee's is partnering with Kohl's to host a bake sale and lemonade stand to benefit Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation. The event will take place at the Kohl's entrance, 250 West Chester Pike, on July 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Applebee's will be providing the baked goods, prices ranging from $1-$5. Kohl's will be providing the lemonade. All proceeds benefit Alex's Lemonade Stand. 

Pinocchio must prove himself brave, truthful and unselfish, but what about the toymaker? Raising a perfect child might not be as easy as it looks. Check out the play My Son, Pinocchio, Jr. at Upper Darby Performing Arts Center on July 17, 18, 19 at 10:30 a.m.

The Best of the Main Line and Western Suburbs Party will take place on July 18 from 6 to 9:00 p.m. at Drexelbrook.
