PECO Energy to Close Railroad Avenue Weekdays

The weekday closure will be in effect through the beginning of November.

PECO Energy will close Railroad Avenue between Oakley Road and U.S. Route 30 (Lancaster Avenue) in Lower Merion and Haverford townships weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. starting Wednesday, Sept. 25 for gas main replacement, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

The weekday closure will be in effect through the beginning of November.

During construction, Railroad Avenue through traffic will be detoured over Haverford Road, Bryn Mawr Avenue and Route 30 (Lancaster Avenue), according to PECO.

Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area.

The construction schedule is contingent on the weather.

Do they mean the 25'th (which is a Wednesday), or Monday, the 23'rd?
