Meals on Wheels Seeks Volunteer Delivery Drivers

Can you spare a couple of hours a month to help deliver meals to senior citizens in Haverford Township?

Meals on Wheels, an all-volunteer, non-profit group that provides the delivery of meals to homebound handicapped and senior citizens who cannot shop or cook for themselves, needs delivery drivers.

The time commitment is between 10:45 a.m. to about noon during a weekday once or twice per month.

In addition to having a car and valid driver's license, you must be punctual, dependable and "have a friendly smile," said Dolores Roat, who coordinates volunteers.
