Lost and Found: Going on a Ring and a Prayer

More than 50 years after saying 'I do,' a Haverford artist is praying someone will see this story and can help.

Rosalind Bloom is hoping someone saw her wedding ring and put it in a safe place. The Haverford artist has worn the simple gold band continuously since getting married more than 50 years ago.

She tells Patch the ring itself is not really worth much on the open market but it's truly priceless to her.

Bloom says she noticed the ring was missing as she was running errands Monday at the Home Depot and TJ Maxx Stores on Sproul Road in Broomall.  After buying some custom-cut wood for artwork frames at the Home Depot she went around the corner to TJ Maxx where she noticed the ring was not on her finger.

Bloom explains that while she always wears her wedding ring, she also finds that it gets a little loose in the winter or when it's cold and her fingers shrink a little.

This story came to Patch's attention when Bloom's daughter posted an ad on Craigslist hoping that someone who might have picked the ring up from a parking lot or store floor and not thought much about it.

She looked in the street, store, in her car, in the gutter three times. Everyone in the stores and in the area helped, but no luck.

Posting this just in case some very kind soul finds it and checks here. Obviously there is no way to measure the sentimental value of this ring.

This is my prayer to the universe. Thank you

If you happened to have found the ring you are asked to turn it in at the TJ Maxx in Broomall. You can also email the address in the Craigslist posting m4p2k-3719441129@comm.craigslist.org.
