Are you looking for something to do this weekend? Check out these great local events.

One Night Stand Art Exhibition and Cook Out

  • When: Friday, Oct. 12. from 6 - 9 p.m.
  • Where: Main Line Art Center
  • Why Go: Check out up-and-coming talent and take home affordable artwork at this free, one-night-only art sale featuring work by artists ages 21-35.  Groove to the music while browsing through the gallery.  If you are hungry there will be barbecue tickets for sale.  There will also be a free Raku firing demo from 6-8 pm.
  • Cost: Free

Annual Fall Open House

  • When: Sunday, Oct. 14 from 1 - 4 p.m.
  • Where: The Historic Grange Estate, 143 Myrtle Ave, Haverford
  • Why Go: Enjoy festivities such as pumpkin painting, a scarecrow workshop, scavenger hunt,a honey extraction, holiday shopping and mansion tours. 
  • Cost: $5 for pumpkins, $5 for Scarecrow Workshop

Harlem Wizards at Haverford High School

  • When: Saturday, Oct. 13 at 7 p.m.
  • Where: Haverford High School
  • Why Go:  Come out for a fun night of basketball wizardry. At the Wizards game fans see amazing basketball talent combined with hilarious comedy.
  • Cost:  Tickets will also be sold at the door for $10/child and $15/adult

Clover Market: Fall Opening

  • When: Sunday, Oct. 14 from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Where: The parking lot at 12 E. Lancaster Ave., Ardmore 19003 
  • Why Go: Come out and enjoy over 100 vendors with antiques & collectibles, vintage jewelry & clothing, art, fine crafts, handmade items as well as a delicious menu and crafts for the kids.  The food vendors are back outside in the parking lot behind Rittenhouse Electric. 
  • Cost: Free

10th Annual Softball Benefit & Family Fun Day

  • When:Saturday, Oct. 13 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
  • Where: South Ardmore Park
  • Why Go: This is an Alex's Lemonade Stand benefit event.  Please come out and support a softball benefit in memory of Theresa Gigliotti and Alex Scott.  The day is going to be filled with family fun including free games for kids, raffles, food, refreshments, tons of kids activities, moonbounce, softball playing, music all day long by DJ Eric Bartello, live entertainment, surprise characters, clowns, face painting starting at 12pm., and  "Dan the Magic Man Lafferty" performing from 11am-2pm.  It will be a great day for a great cause.  The rain date is Sunday, Oct. 14.
