Dog Park Memorial Garden Slated to Open in Spring

Sales of engraved bricks will help fund the project.

A new memorial garden is planned for Haverford Reserve Dog Park, and organizers are selling bricks to help raise money for the project.

The 4-inch-by-8-inch engraved bricks cost $45 each and will become "a permanent part of our memorial garden," according to the park website.

According to the Haverford Civic Council newsletter, there will be a meeting to discuss the project on Feb. 1 at 7 p.m. at the Recreation Department Building on Glendale Road:

We would like to break ground in Spring of 2013 for the Pet Memorial Garden which is adjacent to the Dog Park and we need your help.

There will be a meeting for all those interested in helping out with this beautiful project. We will discuss fundraising, sponsorships and ways to get the word out about buying a brick ($45).

Please R.S.V.P. to pawz4paws@yahoo.com to let us know if you are coming. If you're unable to make the meeting but would like to take an active part in helping, please let us know.
