Commissioners Meeting, Superman Screening in the Week Ahead

The Haverford Township Board of Commissioners will hold its regular meeting on Monday, July 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the Commissioners Meeting Room of the township building.

Among the topics on the agenda, a Mid-Year Financial Update will be given by Larry Gentile and Aimee Cuthbertson, and a Mid-Year Recreation Center Update will be given by Tim Denny.

Watch Havertown resident Nick Taddeo star in The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley, Jr. this week at Upper Darby's Summer Stage.

Also in entertainment, to celebrate the start of HTFL Comic Con, come to the screening of Superman the Movie, the 1978 classic that stars Christopher Reeve as the Man of Steel. The event is at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the Haverford Township Free Library.

On Monday at 12 p.m. check out a Medicare Fraud Prevention presentation at 144 Lawrence Road in Broomall. Led by Dr. Sanford Barth Ph.D., this presentation will last about 30 minutes with plenty of time for questions afterwards. It is hosted by Surrey Services for Seniors.
