Burmont Road to Be Closed for Water Main Replacement

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area. The construction schedule is dependent on the weather.

The following was provided to Patch by PennDOT:

Aqua Pennsylvania will close Burmont Road weekdays between U.S. Route 1 (Township Line Road) and Steele Road in Haverford Township, Delaware County, starting Monday, July 28 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., for water main replacement, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) on Monday announced. The weekday closure will be in effect through late October.

During this operation, Burmont Road through traffic will be detoured over Route 1 (Township Line Road), Drexel Avenue and Steele Road. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone. 

Aqua Pennsylvania will complete the work under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
