Harcum College Runners Headed to National Championships in Iowa

 - Wilmington natives competing with NJCAA’s best cross country runners

Bryn Mawr, PA – November 6, 2013 – Three Harcum College athletes are going to the NJCAA Division I Cross Country National Championships in Iowa this weekend.

Freshmen Anthony Watkins, Mark Williams, and Ronnie Carroll, all Wilmington natives, will compete in Des Moines, from November 7-10.  They qualified for nationals at the Region XIX meet on October 26, each placing in the top 10, with Watkins and Carroll making the All-Region team. Carroll placed second (28:03.154), Watkins placed seventh (32:42.480), and Williams placed tenth (34:33.494).

If they place in the top 10 at nationals, all three athletes will qualify for All-American status.

Harcum College competes within NJCAA Region 19 which is made up of junior colleges located within Pennsylvania, Delaware, and New Jersey.
