Boeing Philadelphia Employees Mark Company’s ‘Global Month of Service’

Nearly a score of Boeing Philadelphia employees line up for the traditional team photo during their recent volunteer visit at Cradles to Crayons. The group, a number of whom are also members of the nonprofit’s Young Friends, were at the West Conshohocken warehouse in support of the giant aircraft manufacturer’s annual “Global Month of Service.”

The event recognizes the many volunteer activities that Boeing employees participate in year-round – such as this recent visit to Cradles to Crayons, where the co-workers matched outfits, sorted toys, and filled requests from around the region for KidPacks—customized packages containing a week’s worth of everyday essential items for a specific child in need.

Casey Oscar (sixth from left), who is a system support tech specialist in Chinook Service Engineering, facilitated the activity in support of Boeing’s global service commitment to the surrounding community. A service event such as this helps Boeing employees to understand and reinforce the values on which the company was established nearly 100 years ago.
