ANOTHER MEDIA THEATRE NEW SCHOOL STUDENT HITS THE BIG TIME

The Media Theatre has yet another New School student hitting the big time. Dan Briglia, 14, has landed his first National Tour. He will play the principle role of Patrick in "The Radio City Christmas Spectacular Tour", rehearsing in Myrtle Beach for two weeks in October and moving on to perform the production in Atlanta, West Palm Beach, and ending in Tampa, Florida.

Dan Briglia auditioned with over 200 near his age and only 8 boys were called back. He was one of the final 8 and eventually was cast in the role after singing variations on Patrick's song in the musical production.

The Briglia family was already looking forward to the fall as Dan's younger sister, Beada, was recently cast in her first Broadway production. She will play a principle role in the Tony nominated musical "A Christmas Story" at Madison Square Garden this holiday season.

The two Briglia siblings were seen on stage together at The Media Theatre this past holiday season in "A Velveteen Rabbit Christmas". Beada delighted audiences as well in the spring playing the lead role in Delaware County's premiere production of "Pinkalicious, The Musical".

The Media Theatre's Artistic Director Jesse Cline could not be more pleased with their national success. "Both Dan and his sister Beada speak to the Meisner Technique which is what we teach," he said. "In the New School, which is our conservatory-style music theatre education program, both were strong examples of discipline and focus needed to have a career. These qualities along with their inherent talent are necessary for a career in the theater. We are very proud of their success and are happy to have been a part of it."
