The Titanic: A Salute through Dance
Join us as we commemorate the Titanic’s maiden and only voyage. Performers and researchers Nancy Walkers and Jef Savage will perform social dances from the Titanic era while dressed in period clothing. They will also discuss the importance of dance in its cultural and social context while also including musical excerpts and personalities associated with the Titanic like the “Unsinkable” Molly Brown.
The program is free and open to the public. Registration is not required, but highly recommended. To register, go to www.haverfordlibrary.org/eventkeeper.
This is a Commonwealth Speaker Presentation, a program of the Pennsylvania Humanities Council supported in part by the National Endowment for the Humanities.
