Surrey at Havertown is presenting an Art series in May to help older artists to stretch and take their art to a new level. Watercolorist and Surrey member Lawrence K. Meyers will share tips, techniques and suggestions arrived at through years of experience exhibiting and selling his own artwork. In this informative program Larry will share different ways and methods of pricing your artwork.  This presentations is targeted to artists 55+ working in any medium—hobbyists, amateurs and budding professionals.  Larry is a watercolorist who has been painting since 1982. His works have been accepted in juried exhibitions and his artwork has been on tour across the country.

May 10, 12:30-3:00 p.m.—Setting Artistic Goals—Start
thinking about your art skills, art habits and where you want to go next with
your art.


May 17, 12:30-3:00 p.m.—Composing Your Art—Larry will talk about thumbnail sketches, golden
spiral, rule of thirds and center of interest, as well as the importance of
framing.


May 24, 12:30-3:00 p.m.—The Artist & Record
Keeping—Taxes, copyrights and computers, oh my! Don’t miss this presentation!

May 31, 12:30-3:00 p.m.—Plein Air Painting &
Art Shows—Build your confidence in getting “out there” with your art and learn about
creating a studio for yourself
