PLEASE NOTE: this event does not take place anywhere in particular; this site requires that we choose a location.

On Wednesday, May 23rd, Education Voters will be holding the next "Call to Action for Public Education" day!   We're asking people to take 5 minutes to call their State Senator, State Representative and Governor Corbett and ask them to SUPPORT public schools and restore the drastic budget cuts!

As with previous Call to Action for Education days, we are asking for broad participation across the Commonwealth - these call in days are having a tremendous impact, people are mobilizing in response to the cuts and the calls are giving people a chance to speak up and be heard.   Communities are using these call in days to help spread the word about what is happening to our schools, so please join us!

We have more information, including a call guide, on our website.

More About Haverford College

Haverford College

Haverford College

794 College Ave, Haverford, PA

Haverford College has been welcoming those who wish to attain a higher education since 1833. The private liberal arts college offers bachelor of arts and bachelor of science degrees in more than 30 majors, including the natural sciences, the social sciences and humanities. The college admits students regardless of their ability to pay and meets all demonstrated financial need. Scholarship, research, writing and performance is conducted at levels usually reserved for graduate students, ensuring that students will be able to take ownership of challenges and solutions. At Haverford, students work closely — and often collaboratively — with fellow students and faculty in the classroom, labs, seminars and library to learn by doing how to define a problem and then devise the means for understanding and overcoming it.

As students' home during this journey to the heart of scholarship and self-discovery, Haverford is a refreshingly supportive and noncompetitive setting that daily teaches students what it means to be an individual in a community, how our actions affect the whole and how to collaborate for the betterment of all.
