Haverford College has been welcoming those who wish to attain a higher education since 1833. The private liberal arts college offers bachelor of arts and bachelor of science degrees in more than 30 majors, including the natural sciences, the social sciences and humanities. The college admits students regardless of their ability to pay and meets all demonstrated financial need. Scholarship, research, writing and performance is conducted at levels usually reserved for graduate students, ensuring that students will be able to take ownership of challenges and solutions. At Haverford, students work closely — and often collaboratively — with fellow students and faculty in the classroom, labs, seminars and library to learn by doing how to define a problem and then devise the means for understanding and overcoming it.
