Sandwich Stealer: According to a report on Radnor Patch, a 25-year-old man was cited for  retail theft after he was seen putting two drinks and a sandwich into a bag without paying for it on Aug. 23 at the Giant in St. Davids. Here's a look at some of the more unusual police reports from around the area this week: You Have to Appreciate the Irony: Things got poetic in Ardmore on May 8 when, according to police reports, a car’s rear window was smashed in by a 25 mph speed limit sign. Some people might disagree, but I have generally had good experiences with SEPTA services, especially its bus routes. Then again, I wouldn’t want to make use of one of their busses as my getaway car. According to a report on Springfield Patch, a Philadelphia man was allegedly seen leaving a Macy’s store without paying for several bed comforters. When confronted, the man reportedly dropped the items and hopped on a nearby SEPTA bus to leave the scene. Police stopped the bus and removed the man. Next stop: retail theft charges.
