Fast Forward is a new feature for the Haverford-Havertown Patch. Each week, we’ll take a slice of life in our community and put it on fast forward. We hope you’ll look for it every Thursday. The subject of this Fast Forward is the Haverford High School's graduation procession.
This marks a special time of year for high school seniors, more so for the seniors that represented their respective schools in sports. Haverford High School and the Haverford School had a number of special seniors that will leave with a number of special memories. For Haverford High School’s Jill Root, and for a number of Haverford School lacrosse players, their athletic career will not end at the high school. What they did at high school was deemed good enough to succeed in college. Root departs as a three-sport athlete, someone who excelled in soccer, where she’s going to Monmouth …
On Monday, June 13, 2011, the senior students of Haverford High School walked across the stage at Villanova University to receive their diploma. Twelve  long academic years has lead up to this point; graduating from high school and moving on the next big step in ones'  life. Roughly 450 Haverford High School students received their diplomas Monday evening. The Haverford-Havertown Patch wants  to congratulate the Class of 2011! To view the video story, please click here.
Nearly 450 Haverford High School seniors graduated while family and friends watched on Monday night. While at Villanova University's Pavillion, where an estimated 4,000 attended the graduation, seniors and school officials gave speeches that captured the triumphs of the past and offered hope and encouragement about the future.
