I cannot believe that the last day of school has come and gone. What an exciting time for my children. My youngest, who I still refer to as the baby, is entering first grade. My daughter is entering second grade and my oldest will be entering fifth grade, the last year of elementary school.
I have vague memories of when summer time meant fun times ahead. The decision between going to the beach or pool was the toughest choice we had to make. Well, except from those times at day camp, but that is a story for another day.
At any rate, now summer is upon us and all the planning of what to do is turning into action. We have hit the ground running. We have signed up for the summer reading program at the Haverford Township Free Library, attended a MOMS Club meeting at the Creative Clubhouse and now the children and I are sitting poolside in Delaware at my parent’s house.
No worries, we will be back to celebrate my son’s 6th birthday. On Thursday we are finally using the Living Social Deal that we never used over spring break for The Crayola Factory in Easton. I highly recommend going if you have kids that love to do arts and crafts. The rest of the summer is up in the air.
I am not making any definite plans. The kids and I will attend many events with MOMS Club I am sure, but probably if they are free or really cheap. We will attend many events at the library for sure and will be back in Delaware to visit with my parents. Nothing is written in stone though.
I am determined to make this a fun and careless summer for the kids.
