Summer Break is Almost Over

I cannot believe that summer is almost over. We have begun our back to school shopping and think we got everything we need to have a successful start to our school year. Not ready to totally give up summer yet, we have a few more fun things planned, but summer activities are quickly coming to a close. This week brings the last week that the library has its summer reading program. No more Lego club and chasing constellations. Activities throughout Havertown are coming to an end in preparation of the new school year. The next few weeks will be busy for us because we will be preparing for the school year here in the Carosella household. I need to make doctors’ appointments for my children to update their physicals and of course get their hair cut for that very important first day of school. We also have our annual block party to plan for that signifies the end of the summer being near. I need to find work myself. I have taken all my tests to be a special education teacher here in Pennsylvania. I have sent in all my paperwork and now I am just waiting, and waiting for my certifications to come in. Once that happens, my status as stay-at- home Mom will be officially over. My children will all be in school full time. I am both sad and glad about that. It seems like just yesterday that my oldest was entering Kindergarten and now he is starting 5th grade! I am not ready for this summer to be over. I really want to this summer to last forever.
