We asked, you answered. Wawa, in your opinion, is the place to get a hoagie in Havertown.
"The convenience store offers custom-made hoagie sandwiches in addition to snack food, sodas, cigarettes and coffee.," states Patch's description.
Do not forget to review Wawa at its Patch Place listing here.
Come back this weekend to see the other winners of Patch sites throughout the area.

Boccella's is my choice. Wawa is where you go in a pinch. You can't really call what it serves "hoagies" in the true Philly sense.

How come in other nearby communities, WAWA also got the most votes but the WIN went to someone else...THAT should certainly happen here!!!!!!

nothing is better than a meatball sandwich from Wawa. @momof3, that is weird that the place with the most votes didn't win, isn't it? I mean in those other towns? I like Boccella's also (the best for non hot sandwich), but Wawa's hoagies are decent. I don't know

Seriously? That junk they make at Wawa doesn't even resemble a real hoagie. Gimme a break. Voting them the "best hoagie" is a real kick below the belt to several of the good deli's in Havertown.

as i said earlier this week---the people who voted for wawa also go in to get cigarettes and their taste buds are now dead as is their perception of a good sandwich

WaWa meat balls are out of the can, but a lot of people that go there, because they like it in the can! I heard Hemingway would have loved to have a WaWA in Key West, back in the day.

So did all you wawa haters (?) vote for your favorite hoagie place? I did not vote. Really, the only reason wawa won is because name recogonition. I bet if Walmart made Hoagies, they would have won. But it is good to see that people are passionate about their deli meats. @Jim, where did you hear that about Hemingway? That is pretty interesting. You will be happy to know that Wawa now has locations in Florida. Not Key West yet, but surely Hemingways dream will surely come true in the years ahead!

When the poll was active I replied the same. Wawa is a sandwich which resembles a hoagie, as it has a long roll, onions, tomatos, and lettuce, peppers by choice, and NEVER PICKLES! Boccella's, Viot's, Primos, Centrella's and new comer on my list P & S all real good REAL hoagie's. I am embarassed that h-town voted Wawa, oh and how come only the Manoa Road one, what about eagle road. As stated everything is pre-cut, and pre-layers so each store no matter where should be the same. Also, if you go to some Wawa;s out of area, they actually cut the roll all the way through. That is and should be a CRIME!!!!!
