Three Stores, Three Thefts: Clean Getaways
It appears a mini crime wave in Haverford has thieves awash in a certain type of bounty.
Haverford Police are investigating three crimes where thieves made a clean getaway.
In each incident thieves reportedly targeted only personal hygiene products.
The first case was reported at 1:07 p.m. on Feb. 21 at the CVS in the 1100 Block of West Chester Pike. A store employee told police that a man and two women "stole approximately 20 bottles of Nivea body wash and fled the store."
Two days later, on Feb. 23 at 1:17 p.m., Haverford Police were alerted to a similar theft at the Rite Aid in the Manoa Shopping Center on West Chester Pike. In this incident, police say a customer witnesses a man and two women "place numerous body washes in a bag and flee the store."
The third theft was reported one day later at 10:54 a.m. on Feb. 24 at the Super Fresh in the Manoa Shopping Center. According to police, "employees reported a (woman) stole $87 worth of soap, hand cream and deodorant and fled the scene."

You'd think we'd have video from one of the stores? A man and two women, any other details? Young, old?

Excellent question, John. Don't have the details yet from police... or video. Working on that and hopefully can fill in some blanks. Check back for new details. I'll update the story as they become available.
