Theft, Fraud Reported in Haverford

One person reported that someone filed a tax return using the victim's identity

Haverford Township Police are reporting a number of recent incidents of theft and fraud. The following information was provided by the police department.

  • A resident of the 500 block of N. Manoa Road reported April 24 that someone used his identity to open an account at an electric company.

 

  • A resident of the Quadrangle on Darby Road reported April 26 that his wallet containing more than $100, credit cards, social security card and identification was stolen from his safe.

  • A resident of the 5200 block of Parkview Drive reported April 26 that someone filed a tax return using the victim's identity.   

 

  • Patio furniture was reported stolen on April 28 from the 100 block of Mill Road.

  • A resident of Chelten Road reported April 29 that someone made a purchase with the victim's credit card without his permission or knowledge. 

 

  • A four-wheeled dolly was stolen from the Manoa Shopping Center on West Chester Pike, it was reported April 30.

 

  • An iPhone was reported stolen from Bailey Park on Washington Avenue on April 30.
