Teens Rob 9-Year-Old, Haverford Police Say
Haverford Police charge two teens in a 'strong arm' robbery in the child's own yard.
Two teenage boys are charged in the strong-arm robbery of a 9-year-old in the child's own yard, according to police.
Haverford police say the two teens took a Red Rider scooter from the boy while he was playing in his yard in the 500 block of Twin Oaks Drive just after 9 p.m. last Friday.
Details of the incident have not yet been released by police, but a police report calls the it a "strong arm" robbery. Usually that means police believe there is evidence or witness information of (at least a small) struggle over the scooter before it was taken from the child.
Patch will update this story as more information becomes available.
