State Police Report 1,437 Oct. Incidents, 201 Car Crashes

The Pennsylvania State Police-Media Barracks will also hold a car seat event on Monday, Nov. 26.

 

The following is a list of October incidents reported by the Pennsylvania State Police-Media Barracks. There were a total of 1,437 incidents in October.

Traffic

  • 201 Crashes
  • 0 Fatal Crashes
  • 12 DUI-related Crashes
  • 46 DUI arrests
  • 75 People Injured in Crashes
  • 17 Hit-and-Run Crashes
  • 796 Citations
  • 289 Warnings

Crime

  • 238 Founded Criminal Offenses
  • 160 Arrests

 

The Media Barracks will also hold a car seat event in the parking lot adjacent to the station at 1342 W. Baltimore Pike on Monday, Nov. 26 from 3 to 6:30 p.m.

State Police remind everyone to wear seatbelts at all times and obey the posted speed limit. If you see suspicious activity please call 911.

Does anyone track the crash locations based upon congested areas? Do these numbers tell us anything based upon comparison to other similar size communities.
We must all work toward to reducing the DUI's. No matter what the cost be a good friend, citizen and motorists. I really hope the police unions start to put on pressure on our leaders to encourage bars to stop serving people that should be cutoff.
