Havertown’s Brendan Hansen is taking home another gold medal in the 2012 Olympics.
Hansen swam the breaststroke leg of the men’s 4x100 with teammates Michael Phelps, Matt Grevers and Nathan Adrian.
The team came in first with a time of 3:29:35, with Japan coming in second and Australia coming in third, according to the London Olympics website.
The race’s attention was centered largely on the race as Phelps’ last one.
“He’s basically enabled us to keep swimming at the age of 30,” Hansen told NBC. “You’re sharing a pool with a guy you’re going to want to tell your kids about some day.”
My 6th Olympic medal will be one I'll never forget. Thanks @MichaelPhelps @MattGrevers @Nathangadrian #TeamUSA pic.twitter.com/S2LbNzcp
Hansen took the bronze medal last Sunday, finishing third overall in the Men’s 100-meter final at the 2012 London Olympics.

Kudos to Brendan Hansen! My daughter tells her kids about sharing the pool with Brendan at Karakung Swim Club!
