School Board Proclaims American Education Week
Uneventful school board meeting before Thanksgiving
The Haverford Township School District board members rushed to get items approved during a meeting a week before Thanksgiving.
The board voted to pay district bills totaling $577,044.51, according to the board's minutes.
The board also approved a 60-month lease with Pitney Bowes for a digital mailing system machine, with a cost of $2,469.84 a year.
Approval was given for pay for project-related capital expenditures, which came from the 2009 Bond Fund. The amount totals $102,374.67.
The board also proclaimed that Nov. 14 - 20, 2010 as the 89th Annual American Education Week.
