Haverford-Havertown Patch Twitter follower Adrian Hickman shared a video of the heavy rain coming down in Havertown.
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a severe thunderstorm watch until 9 p.m., Friday.
"Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 9pm. Some storms could be severe, with large hail, damaging winds, heavy rain, and frequent lightning," the NWS stated. "New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms."
