Police Searching For Suspected Bank Robber
Police said the man told a bank teller that he had a gun but he did not show it.
On Wednesday evening, the gave out a press release to the media, seeking the public’s help in searching for a person suspected of robbing a Havertown bank.
On Wednesday at 3:44 p.m., a white male suspect, believed to be in his 50’s to mid 60’s with a salt-and-pepper beard, allegedly gave a teller at Alliance Bank located on 500 Township Line Rd., a note demanding money, stated in the press release written by Sgt. Shant Bedrossian.
“The (person) implied that he was armed with a handgun but none was displayed. Witnesses advised the police that the white male subject was in his late 50’s to his mid 60’s with a salt and pepper beard. The (person) was wearing a Philadelphia Eagles knit hat and gloves. The (person) was given a sum of U.S. currency and was last seen leaving on foot towards Brentwood Road,” stated the press release, which accompanies this article.
