Police: $700 lost in Havertown Fraud

The following information is provided by the Haverford Township Police Department.

 

According to a release from the Haverford Police Department, police responded to the following incidents:

Fraud at the 400 block Mill Road, Havertown on Aug. 17 - victim reports renting a house for the weekend with a bogus address. Victim sent $700.00 money order to an address in Ohio. Listing was on Craig's list.

Fraud at the 600 block of Ardmore Avenue, Ardmore on Aug. 17 - victim reports that numerous charges were made to his credit cards.

Identity Theft at the 5000 block of Brittany Lane, Bryn Mawr on Aug. 17 - victim reports that an unknown person opened numerous credit card accounts in her name.
