I keep hearing what a great University West Chester is and yet is ranks 554 not exactly a ringing endorsement

I think what people find so great about WCU is that it is a really great school for the money... especially in this economy. They have been in Kiplinger's 100 Best Value for Public Colleges for 5 years in a row. As a very proud WCU alumni, I feel you do not always have to spend more for a great education.

I is a student at KKF (Kommunity Kollege of Filadelfia). Why didn't we make the top 10?

I find this ranking off. While a Penn grad, its ranking here lower than elsewhere isn't what caught my eye; it was a number of the other schools' rankings. Without the complete list to compare, I find it difficult to think that Temple, West Chester and especially Drexel ranked where they did.

Our region should be incredibly proud of our tradition of higher education; we rival Boston's and certainly exceed New York's. I hope no one is changing their minds about applying to certain Philadelphia area schools because of these rankings.

not surprise with WCU or temple. Both are large public schools that does not carry any prestige. They are also PA state schools so the ranking is absolutely right for these two schools. Drexel should be much higher because it is better than most of the schools on the list. Immacuetta is not better than La Salle or any of those other colleges.

my order:

Penn
Swarthmore
Haverford
Villanova
Bryn Mawr
Drexel
Ursinus
St. Joseph's
La Salle
Immaculata
Temple
West Chester

Sorry Tim Baker, Bryn Mawr is head and shoulders above Villanova.
