'Linings' Has Bigger Night in Delco than L.A.
'Silver Linings Playbook' scored big in Delco Sunday night but not so much at the Oscars
The Llanerch Diner, where one famous scene of the film Silver Linings Playbook was shot was packed to capacity Sunday night.
The legally allowed limit of 80 patrons at one time watched, waited and was prepared to celebrate eight Oscar wins with champagne toasts. In the end only one of the eight nominees took home a statue. Jennifer Lawrence took home the Academy Award for Best Actress, in part for the acting work she did at the Llanerch diner one fall evening back in 2011.
In a night that saw Oscar gold spread among many of the nominees, no single film dominated. That includes Silver Linings Playbook.
That didn't damp the enthusiasm at the Llanerch or down the street at Cawley's Irish Pub on West Chester Pike in Upper Darby.
