For parents looking to register their children in kindergarten within the Haverford School District, save the date: pre-registration call-in dates started on Monday and will last until Friday, Feb. 8.

Registration appointments will begin on Feb. 21.

If your child will be five years old on or before August 31, 2013, and is a resident of Haverford Township, he or she will be eligible to attend kindergarten during the 2013-2014 school year, according to the Haverford School District website.

Parents and guardians should plan to begin the kindergarten registration process by calling their local elementary school this week. Calls will be accepted between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. only. Callers will use their elementary school’s assigned extension number. The caller will hear a short message that asks them to leave the following information on the voice mail: parent/guardian’s name, child’s name, home and work telephone number.

This call-in process allows parents easy access to phone lines and gives the school and the district an accurate record of the order in which the calls are received.
