With warmer weather (well, at least it's supposed to be warmer about now)comes more outdoor activities. For lots of kids and adults that means it's time to get out the bikes.

Newman says it's not just a "city" problem, bikes are easy targets because they are the getaway vehicles for the thieves.

Newman says front porches and garages are not safety zones and offer no guarantee that a bike won't be taken. He says bikes are taken from private homes all the time.
