Haverford Patch will keep you updated on school closings and event cancellations. Some schools have announced they will be closed both Monday, Oct. 29, and Tuesday, Oct. 30, in anticipation of Hurricane Sandy.

The following is a list of schools that have announced closings:
- Haverford School District–Closed Monday and Tuesday
- Cardinal John Foley Regional Catholic School–Closed Monday and Tuesday
- Llanerch Presbyterian Preschool–Closed Monday and Tuesday
- The Haverford School–Closed Monday and Tuesday
- Haverford College–Closed Monday and Tuesday
- Friends School Haverford–Closed Monday and Tuesday
- The Children's Ark at St. George–Closed Monday and Tuesday
- Main Line Art Center–Closed Monday and Tuesday
The following is a list of schools/classes that have announced cancellations for events:
- The Haverford School–Book signing with Doug Brunt '89 has been canceled on Oct. 30 due to the inclement weather.
- Movements in Motion Dance Studio–Monday classes canceled.
- Haverford College's activities and events scheduled for Monday and Tuesday will be canceled.
