CVS is price gouging? That's a perfect reason to BOYCOTT CVS. We need to send THEM a message that they can't take advantage of us during a natural disaster. #retailbullying There ought to be a law against such immoral acts. I guess I'll just have to tweet @mikejerrick at Fox News. or Jim Donovan @cbs3

Anybody know if they are picking up trash tomorrow?

I don't think so. Lower Merion cancelled their trash pickups, so I highly doubt Haverford would put employees out in the storm

I too was wondering, have 12 barrels full, I put it out thinking that it was not mentioned in the phone message from the township manager, nor is there anything on their website. . . Hope they come, I'll be waiting to remove the cans promptly so they aren't all over the place!

Haverford Township gets an F for providing info to their residents. Shouldn't they have an emergency command center that communicates with residents. We need to know if there is trash tomorrow

They do. The township does an excellent job at communicating. I get more information from this township on email, voicemails, texts and tweets. What more do you want. Additionally, it's common sense that there would be no trash pick up today. And lastly, we are in the middle of a disaster situation, is your number one concern really trash?

Susan, your incorrect there was trash pickup. And yes removal of waste is an important part of the storm management process.

Obviously the township doesn't do an excellent job if I am not on their list ! and I pay taxes no less. So enlighten me Susan or only cool people get the announcements ?

The township used a reverse 911 system to notify the residents. They also had it posted on the township channel and I believe their website. All the people I know got a phone call. The township isn't the governor. The local TV channels are not really interested in what a small fish in Havertown has to say.

Radnor's website says they will have trash pickup on Monday. I'm keeping mine out then I guess.

I haven't been able to get any word from the township w/r/t its plans for trash pickup, but, based on the forecasted intensity of the storm and what surrounding municipalities are doing, my guess is that it will be cancelled.

I got several phone calls from the township about the trash schedule. In addition, my commissioner, Chris Connell, has been in constant email contact. And I just saw the public works guys picking up branches. Pretty good!

My commissioner in the 5th ward sent one email before the storm hit, but no word during the storm. Would be nice to have a tech savvy official who can keep their constituents up to date about power outages, roads, township services.
