Haverford to Help PennDOT, Chester County
Nolan Painting is making a donation to help a nearby township.
A Haverford business will assist PennDOT in an upcoming road project in Chester County.
According to a release from the transportation department, Nolan Painting will be donating the labor to re-paint a refurbished covered bridge in the Valley Forge National Historic Park in Tredyffrin Township.
The Knox Covered Bridge was originally built in 1865 and rehabilitated as recently as 1996, according to a release.
Crews will update the bridge by removing deteriorated wooden panels and replacing them with freshly painted wood, which will be handled by Nolan.
The bridge will close August 20 and is expected to reopen by Aug. 31.
