Around 2:30 p.m. on Thursday afternoon at a home on the 1400 block of Robinson Avenue a 3-year-old boy had his face impaled by a piece of metal, a fire official told the Haverford-Havertown Patch at the scene.
The boy was jumping on a bed at a house where he was being babysat when somehow a dresser fell and the child landed on a metal hinge for the dresser, the fire official said.
The father of the homeowner, who wished to remain anonymous, confirmed that his daughter was babysitting the young boy at time and that he did fall.
"He fell on something and a metal something went into his cheek," he explained to Patch, adding that the boy was 3 going on 4.
Emergency workers drove the boy from the house to Lynnewood Elementary School's field where he was airlifted by a PennSTAR helicopter. It is believed that he was being taken to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
Brookline Fire Co. Chief John Viola said that the Haverford Township Police Department, where he is also the deputy police chief of, will issue a press release of the accident on Friday.

Prayers for both children and their families! Whoevet commented above is a selfish moron. What do your comments have to do with a terrible accident?
