Driver Struck Utility Pole On Township Line Road

Police say the driver will not need to be taken to the hospital.

Upper Darby police said the driver of a gray Toyota Corolla that struck a utility pole at the intersection of Township Line Road and North Brighton Avenue will not need to go to the hospital.

The accident occurred at around 6:30 p.m. Thursday as the Corolla was on the northbound lane of Township Line Road when the female driver struck the pole, police told the Haverford-Havertown Patch at the scene.

The base of the pole appeared to be heavily damaged from the accident.

The police would only say that the driver would not need to be taken to the hospital—an East Lansdowne ambulance was at the scene—and that the investigation is ongoing.

The northbound lane of Township Line Road is in Upper Darby Township and the southbound lane of Township Line Road is in Haverford Township.

An East Lansdowne Ambulance was there. Had the accident been accross the street, an ambulance from 3 blocks away would have been there. This intersection is just down the street from West Chester Pike and Twp line
