Volunteers were hard at work consigning clothes and pretty much everything kid related, not to mention maternity clothes, Thursday night in preparation for Friday and Saturday’s sale.

Havertown’s Spring Chicken consignment sale opens to the public at noon on Friday and runs through 8 p.m. at the Armenian Martyrs' Congregational Church in Havertown. Doors open again on Saturday from 2 a.m. to 2 p.m. with much of the merchandise going half price from noon-2 p.m.

In a matter of hours Thursday night, a relatively empty church hall was turned into a sales crowded with merchandise. Consigners brought in their goods and volunteers stocked the racks and tables.

More items will be coming in Friday night to freshen the stock for Saturday.
