HHS Celebrates Black History Month With “Harlem Grooves” Assembly
HAVERTOWN— In honor of African American History Month, Juniors and Seniors at Haverford High School participated in a multi-media assembly on Monday, February 25. The presentation entitled, “Harlem Grooves” explored the music, literary and cultural influence of African-Americans in the Harlem Renaissance.
Students throughout the District joined in on the celebration. At Chatham Park Elementary, Mrs. Hardy’s class did a Black History Scavenger Hunt to explore influential African Americans in our country. At Manoa Elementary students kicked off February with an Assembly on George Washington Carver.
